The Multimedia Reporter is responsible for producing clear, accurate, and engaging digital content for MBN’s platforms after gathering and verifying factual information through interviews, observation, and research. The incumbent organizes all material, determines editorial emphasis, and produces stories and multimedia content aligned with MBN’s editorial standards and digital-first formats.

Produce original reporting for MBN’s digital platforms, including written stories, video reports, interviews, short-form video, and visual explainers.
Develop distinct story angles from the field that go beyond reactive coverage and contribute to MBN’s regional and DC-linked editorial priorities.
Pitch and execute enterprise and analytical stories tied to regional impact, U.S. policy implications, or underreported local dynamics.
Research, write, shoot, and edit multimedia content while ensuring high production and editorial standards.
Work under the editorial direction of the Regional Executive Producer and in coordination with the Managing Editor and assignment desk.
Contribute to planned coverage as well as fast-moving developments, balancing speed with depth and context.
Use mobile journalism (MOJO) or similar tools to report efficiently from the field.
Maintain and cultivate credible, diverse sources relevant to assigned geography or beat.
Provide contextual reporting that explains why events matter, not just what happened.
Coordinate with post-production and graphics teams to shape stories into scalable digital formats.
Ensure all content meets MBN’s standards of accuracy, balance, independence, and ethical journalism.
Update and refine published content as events evolve.
Support bilingual reporting needs (Arabic and English) when required, in line with editorial standards
Perform additional job-related duties and take on new responsibilities as needed based on organizational requirements and circumstances.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of professional content production or journalism experience, preferably in digital or multimedia environments.
Demonstrated ability to produce compelling digital video and multimedia content.
Strong editorial and storytelling judgment.
Excellent Arabic and English written and verbal communication skills.
Solid understanding of Middle Eastern and international current events and cultural dynamics.
Proven experience in investigative reporting, data journalism, or public-policy content is highly desirable.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in modern digital content tools, publishing platforms, and mobile journalism technologies.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to support a 24/7 digital content environment.
