Position Overview
This position performs technical accounting and finance duties in support of departmental functions. Performs accounting duties including accounts payables and receivables, payroll, accounting analysis, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting duties as assigned.
Required Responsibilities*
- Processes payments related to administrative expenses and claims.
- Collects and verifies W-9 forms using IRS TIN Matching and OFAC compliance tools. Maintains and updates vendor records for claims processing.
- Audits and processes invoices, ensuring accuracy before approval and payment.
- Reviews and processes employee expense reimbursements.
- Prepares and posts journal entries to allocate expenses and correct coding errors.
- Administers the organization’s credit card program, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Reviews employee timesheets, leave balances, and processes monthly vehicle mileage reports.
- Assists with payroll-related tasks and provides additional accounting support as needed.

Physical Requirements
- Be able to withstand typical office work that includes periods of sitting, standing, typing, etc. indoors.
- In addition to typical office work, must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
- Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, visual inspection, assembly of parts, or extensive reading.
- Ability to have a flexible work schedule to meet business needs and be at work on-site during specified or core hours.
- Must be able to operate standard computer hardware.

- B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

- Area of Experience: Accounting/Finance and Payroll

- Knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and basic accounting principles
