This Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a Construction Inspector (Paving) to join our Northeast PMCM team in central and southern Maine. 

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated construction documentation experience, understanding of the owner representative role, with the versatility to inspect various work elements, helping observe and report on project quality, progress and safety. This position would report to the resident engineer, or their designee. 

Your Impact

Job Duties:

  • Monitor and inspect construction activities. 
  • Complete daily inspector reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities. 
  • Help coordinate material sampling, testing and survey layout verification. 
  • Monitor maintenance of traffic.  
  • Take and compile photographs, for tracking of daily progress. 

Who You Are

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of construction experience
  • 1 year paving Inspection experience 
  • NETTCP HMA Certification, or any equivalent State Agency certification
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Requirements:  

  • Associate of Science of Engineering or Environmental Technology or Construction Management, or related field.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Site Manager, Field Manager, APPIA, Doc Express software, or similar  platforms for construction management.
  • Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite.

This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.

Travel expenses are available for this position, subject to further discussion.
