Seeking an experienced EPIC Business Systems Analyst to provide advanced application support for the EPIC Revenue Cycle and other assigned applications. The EPIC Business Systems Analyst manages the Epic Resolute Professional Billing and Claims application, which manages outpatient billing for physician practices; Epic Prelude, which provides patient registration, address verification, and HIPPA compliant eligibility tools to ensure accurate billing; and Epic Cadence, a patient scheduling application. Experience in one or more of the following revenue cycle functions: Patient Access and Admitting, Charge Capture, Denials Management and Recovery, Patient Accounting, and or Patient Financial Services, Patient billing preferred. Claims Clearing House, Collection Agency and statement vendors. Other responsibilities include assisting with the design, development, system configuration, implementation, and support of information systems for the organization. Work with the team and key customers to ensure appropriate planning, development, training, and implementation of application functionality. Provide training to new staff and refresher training to Billing Staff.
Drives the design and implementation of new business processes and optimized system configuration.
Leads and facilitates design sessions to achieve improvements.
Understands the business strategy of a particular function/area and works with the team to define business requirements and assist in designing improved processes utilizing EPIC EMR.
Influences business leadership and management decisions and drives ownership and acceptance of change to the business.
Aligns work to departmental goals.
Develops work plans for a variety of moderately complex EPIC systems issues based on system development life cycle methodology. Analyzes and designs systems that meet user requirements, anticipate their needs, and conform to technical standards. Assists in setting standards for and preparing requirement definitions, statements of work, programming specifications, and flow charts based on project scope.
Creates and communicates status reports in accordance with departmental standards.
Updates documentation consistently, following departmental policies and procedures.
Attends and participates in team, project and department meetings to increase awareness and information flow.
Meets with customers frequently and provide frequent written status updates to customers, team members, and department management.
Identifies solutions to complex business directives or implementation impediments.
Provides consultative services to customers and technologists as to the workflow processes and incorporation of technology solutions.
Develops clear, concise training materials and conducts customer educational sessions.
Executes comprehensive testing plans to verify critical business outputs and system integrity.
Writes SOWs that are complete and clearly understood, while appropriately setting customer expectations.
Documents and prioritizes issues with vendor; stays current with vendor trends, strategic plans and technology.
Schedules loading bundles and fixes with vendor, systems group and customers.
Examines techniques in use and determining appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance internal operational business processes.
Maintains knowledge of expanding technical and business expertise and applies new skills and knowledge to TMC situations.
Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values policies and standards.
Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in accounting, finance, or computer analysis, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) to five (5) years of business systems analysis experience with EPIC, preferably in an acute care setting.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Recommend clinicians, including RN’s, maintain current state licensure, preferred. Will be required to certify on one or more EPIC applications and maintain certification.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
