S³ has 3 wholly owned subsidiaries: KBFS- provides aviation pilot training, heavy lift, aircraft maintenance, and related aircraft services to Government and commercial requirements IAW multiple FAA certifications; S3I- OCONUS FMS technical services, maintenance, and aviation platform training; and, GLSS- SCA/CBA contract aviation.

S3 Arabia is seeking anAH64E Instructor Pilot/ Master Gunner to support our aviation programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Description: Responsible for performing duties as an Instructor Pilot and Master Gunner in the AH-64 E aircraft and supporting simulation devices.   Conducts initial ATP integration, continuation training, and evaluation of employee and customer crewmembers in accordance with US Army Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) requirements.

Conducts academic and hands-on performance training and administer evaluations to ensure aircrew proficiency and standardization of training.  Responsible for maintaining Individual Aircrew Training Folder, (IATF) and completing required training, currency, and readiness entries.

Conducts AH-64E and gunnery instruction in a classroom environment; provides flight instruction in the aircraft and flight training devices; providing contact, basic instrument, and basic combat skills training to Army standards IAW government approved ATM.  Instruction may include any combination of Individual or Group instruction in an academic classroom environment and or aircraft or simulator.  Additionally, applicant must have Attack helicopter experience in mission operations and must have completed a course of instruction for IPs at an authorized Aviation Proponent School.

Duties/responsibilities:  Train and evaluate Aviation pilots in the AH-64E aircraft in accordance with the US Army ATM and specific unit ATP guidelines.

Independence: Reports to the Battalion Standardization officer.  Works within the policies and procedures of the contract.  Able to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Report directly to assigned Standardization IP.  Supervise all assigned Instructor Pilots. Supervisor of all flight training related functions to include daily flight training operations and endorsement of customer and additional instructor pilots or unit trainers.

Education Level:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have been qualified as a Pilot in Command.
  • Graduate of AH-64 Instructor Pilot Course (IPC)/Methods of Instruction (MOI) course at an authorized Aviation Proponent School or an IP equivalency evaluation administered by a standardization instructor pilot (SP) selected by the Directorate of Evaluations and Standardization (DES) required.
  • Master Gunner course qualification preferred. Master Gunner experience at the battalion or brigade level is required.
  • Qualified on the AH-64E Series Aircraft required.
  • Minimum of 1500 total flight hours (total time).  Minimum of 300 flight hours Instructor Pilot time.  Minimum of 250 flight hours NVS/NVG.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot certificate required.

          Experience:

  •     Attack helicopter Mission operations required.  Combat experience preferred. Instructor Pilot experience at Fort Rucker preferred.

          Specific knowledge, skills, ability: 

  •     Successfully pass the Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire, and annually thereafter required.
  •     Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
  •     Ability to communicate both orally and written.
  •     Ability to effectively deal with people in the coordination of staff and team members.
  •     Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.

Possesses a valid driver’s license
