KPFF Consulting Engineers is hiring a Marketing Assistant to join our structural engineering division in Portland, Oregon. This position provides marketing services to engineers whose clients are architects, developers, contractors, and public agencies. Our marketing staff are valued and empowered to be innovative in their approach and passionate about their work. How we treat one another is as important as the work we do. This position interacts with all levels of the firm as well as clients and subconsultants.

 

Role Description

·     Assist in preparing high-quality prime and subconsultant qualifications and proposals submissions, through the development of materials such as resumes, biographies and profiles, project description information requests, and other collateral materials

·     Monitor sources of industry-related market information including online print sources, magazines, and blogs

·     Help maintain the CRM database by inputting and updating client, project, and other information; maintain content library, including prior proposals, boilerplates, and visuals

·     Help create various internal communications and company announcements

·     Track publication, association, and community event postings

·     Edit/update marketing collateral and presentations

·     Assist with internal document processing including reviewing, editing, and formatting documents or other client deliverables

·     Pulling project reports and updating staff and internal resource information

·     Identify images related to content

·     Assist in creating and editing social media, PR, and website content

·     Assist in coordinating internal events (quarterly meetings, annual community and client events, food drives, internal company culture events, exhibits and conferences)

·     Interact with and facilitate communications with staff, vendors, and clients

 

Salary

·     Base: range of $50,000 - $60,000 (paid out hourly) based on qualifications and prior experience

·     Overtime paid at time-and-half of hourly rate

·     Biannual bonus structure

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

·     Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Education, or other relevant major

·     1-3 years of experience, preferably in marketing or related field

·     Experience in database management. Cosential, or similar system such as Salesforce, and Ajera, or related Deltek system a plus.

·     Experience with Microsoft (Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator)

·     Strong analytical and organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

·     Excellent, writing, proofreading, editing, and document production skills

·     Exceptional attention to detail and strong design sensibility

·     Excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn

·     Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments concurrently

·     Basic comprehension of marketing, business, or sales development strategies

·     Desire to participate in development organizations, such as SMPS, ACEC, SEAO, and other industry related affiliations
