The Order Processing Team Lead supports the Service Center employees and processes through analytics, continuous improvement, system development, and training. This position works with the Service Center management team to develop and implement best practices in order to sustain lean processes and team goals. The Order Processing Team Lead will manage and champion the Order Processing Team toward achieving the company goal of 1-HOUR lead time. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support staffing for the Order Processing Team ensuring the staff is positioned properly
  • Support the hiring process to ensure the best qualified applicants are brought on board
  • Create a safe and positive work environment through real-time observation as an engaging and inclusive leader
  • Work with a sense of urgency to ensure that operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed and coordinated across functions
  • Innovate new approaches to maximize efficiencies and process flow on incoming order and quote volume
  • Provide necessary leadership and training to build and maintain a strong Order Processing Team
  • Help write and maintain departmental work instructions and training documentation
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve individual and team performance (accuracy and efficiency)
  • Interface with other departments (Warehouse, Customer Service, and Product Availability) as required to help maintain one-hour Order Fulfillment lead times
  • This is an onsite position with a majority of time required at your workstation

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • College degree, preferred
  • 3+ years of Order Processing experience
  • Solid knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP system)
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach and maintain effective relationships with team members
  • Flexibility required with schedule within normal business hours
