Frontier-Kemper Constructors is the general contractor for the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project. The scope of the approximately $1.1 billion contract entails the construction of a new deep rock tunnel between the Kensico Reservoir and the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet (CDUV) Light Disinfection Facility, both in Westchester County, New York. The new tunnel will provide an additional means of conveying water between the Kensico Reservoir and the CDUV Facility, enhancing operational resiliency and redundancy for New York City’s water supply system.

DESCRIPTION:

As a Document Control Manager at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to Specialist plays an essential role in managing and overseeing all project documentation. This role ensures that documents are accurately created, distributed, stored, and retrieved in compliance with the Contract requirements, company policies, and regulatory requirements. The Document Control Specialist is critical in maintaining document integrity, facilitating effective communication, and supporting project teams in achieving their objectives.

  • Utilize a web-based Enterprise Project Management Information System (EPMIS) to manage all project communications, workflows, and document submittals.
  • Print, update, and distribute documents as required.
  • Scan and upload documents according to company procedures.
  • Collect and register all technical documents, such as drawings and blueprints, in the company’s system.
  • Review and maintain documents up to date, as well as for and quality control purposes.
  • Check for accuracy, contract compliance and completeness, and edit files appropriately, including contract administrative and technical submittals.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive documents.
  • Keep team members informed about new document versions and access procedures.
  • Create and maintain templates for use by project personnel.
  • Establish and maintain record retention timelines.
  • Manage records across various project departments to guarantee accessibility and contract compliance.
  • Retrieve files as requested by Project Staff.
  • Assist the Quality Control (QC) department in maintaining standards, procedures, and project documentation.
  • Distribute project-related copies to internal teams and manage the flow of documentation within the organization.
  • Review, scan, and electronically file documents to maintain organized records.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 5–10 years of experience in a similar position.
  • 3–5 years of experience with Enterprise Project Management Information Systems (EPMIS), preferably e-Builder, Inc. (www.e-builder.net).
  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with project management principles.
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws, state, and NYDEP regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document management.

Expected salary range for this position is $80,000 – $140,000 depending upon experience
