We are seeking a motivated Construction Design Engineer to join our team. Potential projects include rail transit, bridge, railroad, and industrial project sites across the Midwest. As a Construction Design Engineer at Lunda Construction, you will have the opportunity to: 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design falsework for temporary structure support
• Design temporary bridges for construction access
• Design hydraulic systems for vertical / horizontal travel
• Design cofferdams and other soil retention systems
• Bridge analysis for construction equipment and demolition procedures
• Bridge analysis for steel/concrete beam erection stability
• Wood/steel formwork design for concrete slabs and walls
• Analysis of lifting equipment (hoists and rigging)
• Analysis and design of safety systems
• Analysis for barge stability under construction equipment loading
• Provide clear construction and shop drawings using CAD

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related studies
• 0-5 years in Construction Engineering or Design
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be highly organized
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
