Job title:     FC (Fire Controlman) SME (Subject Matter Expert)

DAILY AND WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide assistance to Instructional Designers, Graphic Artists, and Software Engineers relating to instructional content. 
• Review lessons for accuracy.
• Explain technical processes to others in a concise, technical, and professional manner.
• Complete assigned tasks that are technically correct, thoroughly self-checked for quality control, and are submitted according to the agreed upon schedule.
• Other duties and projects as assigned and needed
   
• EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 5 years of active-duty experience as a FC – REQUIRED.
• Separation from the Navy should be no greater than 5 years – REQUIRED.
• Experience with Gun Weapon System (GWS) MK 34 MOD 2 - REQUIRED.
• Must have experience in one of the following areas- REQUIRED:
  • Gun computer system (GCS) MK 160 mods 14-16/electro-optical sensor system (EOSS) MK 20 mod 0 operation and maintenance
  • Rolling airframe missile (ram) mk-31 mod 1/3 guided missile weapon system (GMWS) operation and maintenance
  • Gun computer system (GCS) MK 160 mod 4/6 and optical sight system (OSS) MK 46 mod 0 operation and main
  • Gun computer system (GCS) MK 160 mod 9/optical sight system (OSS) MK 46 mod 1 operation and maintenance
  • An/syq-27 mission planning system, naval fires control system (NFCS) operation and maintenance course.
  • An/spq-9b radar maintenance
• Instructor experience – PREFERRED.
• Due to the nature of the work at Carley, this position requires U.S. citizenship – REQUIRED.

• Employees living 50 miles or less of the Carley corporate office will be deemed as local and must have the ability and means to support onsite hours – REQUIRED.
