Salary Expectation:
$22.15 to $24.92 per hour (Note: The hourly rate will commensurate based on education and occupational experience).

LOCATION:  Lakeshore College – Cleveland, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY: Develop content strategy and campaign plans that execute against the marketing strategy and drive brand awareness for Lakeshore College. Provide creative and strategic direction for comprehensive advertising and marketing campaign messaging. Serve as lead editor/content developer for promotional, website, broadcast/video, public relations, and key internal communication projects. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):

(50%) Creative Writing and Editing 

  •      Write and edit promotional copy to convey impactful, clear, and concise messages for a variety of target audiences across a broad range of media such as print, radio, broadcast/video, billboard, posters, brochures, and web pages.
  •      Reinterpret detailed material, facts, and research to provide potential students and customers with key information about Lakeshore programs & services.
  •      Ensure college voice and messaging are consistent, effective, and reflective of the college image and brand standards.
  •      Assist in rewriting and editing a wide variety of content.

(20%) Content Strategy 

  •      Collaborate with graphic designer in creating concepts for campaigns and key creative deliverables to improve overall effectiveness and impact of communication projects.
  •      Assist with the development of the college’s owned media (blogs, student stories) strategy.
  •      Collaborate with Digital Marketing Analyst and Sr. Content Strategist to develop digital content calendar.
  •      Research current content trends, consumer behavior, and search engine optimization (SEO) trends.
  •      Participate in creative reviews and provide constructive feedback to marketing team to improve overall effectiveness and impact of communication projects.
  •      Assist the executive director of marketing in the development of key communication deliverables.
  •      Direct activities and provide creative input and reviews to marketing team and consultants as needed.

(20%) Public Relations & Internal Communication 

  •      Manage internal employee communications (employee newsletters, emails)
  •      Support and implement content strategy for owned media channels (website, blog, newsletters)

(10%) Marketing Support 

  •      Participate on the college committees and provide input to the direction of college marketing initiatives, as needed.
  •      Provide project management for select communication pieces and web projects.
  •      Provide customer service support for Marketing department.
  •      Special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  •      Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related discipline required.
  •      2-4 years of relevant occupational experience required.
