Job Title: JDE Technical Analyst – Finance, Materials Management

Reports to: Manager, Functional and Project Services, Washington Corporations

 

Job Description:

Washington Corporations is looking for a dynamic individual who has extensive background working with the JD Edwards ERP systems and has had a large amount of experience implementing the modules of JD Edwards that promote a solid material management practice at companies in heavy industry such as mining, construction, manufacturing and transportation sectors.  The individual must have great ability to work with business stakeholders and have ability to promote/lead process change.

  In this position your primary responsibilities are supporting multiple platforms of the Oracle JD Edwards ERP Systems with a primary focus in the modules of material management including Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Inventory, Bar Coding and Work Orders.   Secondarily supporting new extended ERP software solutions including expense management, accounts payable automation, time capture and CRM.  Provide project management and technical support needed for the successful delivery of key application projects. 

  This resource must be able to work independently and work as a member of the applications team.  Limited travel may be required. This is a fulltime staff position located in Missoula, Montana.  No H1B Visa or Sponsorship 

 

  Responsibilities and Technical Skills Required:

  • Prior experience in conversions, upgrades and integration projects. 
  • Functional Technical skills in JDE ERP Systems suite of products:  Financials, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Purchasing, Work Orders and Equipment Management.
  • Added Plus if have background in any of the following:
    • Enterprise Performance Management
    • Financial Planning Analysis
    • Account Reconciliation, Consolidations
    • Closed (Closing) Process.
       
  • Background working with diverse/multiple teams, new solutions and technologies, supporting multiple custom & 3rd party application interfaces.
  • Collaborate and work with other support groups including the Business Intelligence Architect, SQL and ETL Datamart Administrators, Developers, and various other IT Infrastructure personnel.
  • Manage 3rd party vendor relationships to resource specific develop needs.
  • Able to lead a project.  Planning, coordination, execution, communications and delivery of multiple concurrent projects
  • Proactively identify dependencies and issues between teams and work to resolve them
  • Communicate project progress, changes and risks
  • Deliver end user training, including both one-on-one and classroom settings
  • Must be able to travel to client locations throughout Canada and US

Vendor Management: Ability to manage vendors to ensure projects are completed according to statement of work or contract terms.

 

Position Requirements:  

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in complete life cycle of JDE ERP systems (upgrades, conversions, integrations)
  • Knowledge and experience with developing functional design documents, technical & user documentation, and confiuration changes.
  • Experience is supporting production upgrades, change control and user testing & training.
  • Hands on experience with troubleshooting and resolving JDE ERP applications and operational issues.
  • Experience delivering projects with vendor partners. Manage vendor timelines and deliverables across internal and external teams
  • Well organized task planner with the ability to scope projects in a highly detailed manner.
  • Strong leadership qualities; ability to interface with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Development and Business Operations.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders to influence desired outcome.
  • Able to independently develop Functional Design Documents.
     

Hours

This is a salaried position with some flexibility in hours once on-call and support coverage schedules are worked out with the team. Employees will be expected to deliver a full 8-10 hours per day, as needed. Applicant must be willing to work additional or non-standard hours to support delivery of time-critical project deadlines.
