Railcar Cleaning Operator

Location: NC - Sanford
Department: 4200 - Refining and Pad Operations

Description

Run a state of the art robotic railcar cleaning system, document, inspect, load, and unload railcars.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate a PLC system
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks based on operational needs
  • Log pertinent information associated with cleaning and inspecting railcars for regulatory and Noble Oil (SOP) compliance
  • Perform daily inspection of company equipment, to insure safe operation
  • Operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents, spills, and environmental hazards
  • Dispose of waste materials and cleaning agents in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations
  • Help manage the solidification process
  • Confined space entry
  • Tank farm management
  • Blend products to achieve the best results in the cleaning process
  • Railcar loading and unloading
  • Quality assurance: loading of correct fuels to specific customers, load to accurate legal weights, proper filtration, sampling, and identification of fuel loads for retaining samples
  • Take samples to the lab to qualify inbound stream before unloading
  • Prepare inspection forms and railcar release forms
  • Sample, QA, and document inbound bulk waste streams
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
  • Preventative maintenance on associated equipment
  • General grounds keeping
  • Other duties as assigned by the facility manager include housekeeping practices and
  • cross-training of refinery and pad responsibilities

 Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Heavy equipment experience
  • Knowledge of process flows, controls, and PLC's
  • Tank farm management, waste water treatment, fleet fueling, or process experience
  • Good communication skills, oral and written
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to work at heights reaching 50 feet above grade
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift, connect, and disconnect heavy hoses
  • A valid Driver's license and clean MVR is required
  • Maintain for the duration of your employment:
    • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training
    • LQG and Used Oil Processor Facility Training
    • US DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Training
    • Full-faced respiratory fit
    • Lock Out/Tag Out Training
    • Permit Confined Space Entry
    • First Aid and CPR Training
  • Additional training may be required
