  The Visual Merchandiser creates exciting, authoritative cutting-edge visual presentations for store installations (interiors and/or windows) and presents store merchandise to company standards encouraging customers to purchase.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Execute corporate merchandising floor sets/brand adjacencies, product placement and all signage installation and maintenance

  • Adhere to the corporate visual merchandising product standards, process and protocols

  • Coach and promote the visual merchandising guidelines through working in partnership with internal teams, sales associates and vendors

  • Understand the company’s brand matrix and essence while remaining updated with the vendor guidelines

  • Research and maintain knowledge of relevant fashion trends and vendor styling guidelines, to develop a fashion point of view, specific to Holt Renfrew’s brand identify and core customer segments

  • Create leading-edge presentations in windows, interior focals, department mannequins and merchandise integration in connection to SSC directives

  • Drive elevation and luxury positioning within all visual merchandising activities

  • Execute commitment to a continually fresh experience for our customers

    • Properly monitor, provide plans and movement to integrate new items

    • Rotate and blend aged items on a regular basis

  • Partner with all internal Associates and Management teams to plan, implement and maintain all visual merchandising presentations with the objective to drive sales

  • Partner with Sales Associates, DSAs, Personal Shoppers to ensure product is presented according to Visual Merchandising guidelines such as steaming of garments, merchandise is dust free and properly displayed

  • Source props and materials where required, and as directed by the reporting management team

  • Implement painting, technical space development, prop and vinyl installation, where directed and required

  • Maintain studio storage spaces and collateral areas in a clean, tidy, and organized manner

  • Contribute collaboratively to gather feedback and deliver them to the store management team and SSC

  • Comply with all Health & Safety practices/requirements, as well as all Merchandise protection and inventory standards, as outlined by the organization

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years of Visual Merchandising experience
  • Related Fashion school and/or Visual Merchandising courses/diploma
