The Producer, Creative Production will manage the development and flawless execution all Holt Renfrew photography and video shoots between internal and external parties to position Holt Renfrew as the leader in the marketplace by showcasing product and purpose driven marketing content, produced in modern way that creates brand awareness, drives traffic to our stores and generate sales. This role is responsible for the facilitating the end-to-end production of all Holt Renfrew Marketing Campaigns. The Producer, Creative Production will be highly organized and confident in managing the execution of a shoot.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:


  • In conjunction with the Photo Studio, Creative, Fashion Office and Content team, ensure delivery of Creative Production programs for Holt Renfrew e-commerce, editorial, magazine, and seasonal campaign photography shoots and video for print and digital platforms.
  • Effectively meet creative and content needs and achieve overall strategic and creative goals, all while following best practices for production execution
  • Define scope and interpret creative briefs from the Art Director
  • Define production schedules, set milestones, budget and track deliverables for all off-figure and on-figure product shoots
  • Creating and maintaining work back schedules, paginations, story boards, shot lists, product and fashion requirements, call sheets, and retouching documents for multiple projects at a time.
  • Hire and negotiate contracts and usage as needed based on creative direction, while building strong relationships within the industry of creatives.
  • Manage casting, location sourcing and scouting, travel accommodations, securing equipment, talent and crew acquisition.
  • Generate carnet, visa, insurance, permit and contractual documents in conjunction with internal and external Legal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Partnering with the Photo Studio team for all shoots done in-house.
  • Maintain post-production such as securing, scheduling, and communicating expectations to external partners such as retouchers, editors, colorists, and composers; overseeing creative approvals process
  • Maintain retouching documents; overseeing vendor approvals and retouching notes; performing high quality control inspection on digital files, asset management & distribution of final assets
  • Video production management through sourcing new audio, visual and editing equipment and techniques within the industry.
  • Oversee all on-set operations including ensuring results achieved with Brand Values and Pillars actioned and our s ustainability targets met.
  • Perform ongoing creative research and outreach, development of best-in-class creative, production, and community partnerships
  • Ensuring regulatory and health & safety compliance



The ideal candidate: 


  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of post-university work experience, including 3+ years in a production company or agency.
  • Solid foundation in producing off-figure stills plus on-figure stills and videos
  • Previous experience in retail and/or luxury brand(s) is an asset
  • Proven track record in budgeting, project/workflow management and vendor management
  • Team-driven, handles constructive feedback and thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
  • Confident and effective communication with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe CS and Apple Systems
