The Manager, Sustainability and Network Operations (Contract) will be the authority in all Energy or Sustainability Operational matters and is responsible for the collection, updating, reporting and oversight of all company assets using Energy or having Environmental impact to our carbon footprint. Control of all energy consumption at             all levels strong understanding of energy and environmental practices and legislation across Canada and affiliation with stewardship organizations. In addition, this individual will manage build out agreements (Letters of Agreement) as well as operational and compliance measures for H&S initiatives and ongoing AODA standards.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Develop and implement strategies for sustainable development of energy, recycling waste reduction and operational consumable resource conservation including water
  • Develop Pollution prevention, control, and recycling programs
  • Responsible for Managing projects to lessen environmental impacts ensuring legislative requirements are fulfilled
  • Research & Development of new initiatives, awareness of broad sustainability issues
  • Educate, Create Awareness, and Share results with Holt Renfrew at large
  • Achieve or exceed company set specific policy Reduction Targets and Guidelines
  • Controls all energy reduction and monitoring equipment with scheduling and alarm notification
  • Coordinate and apply new and existing H&S measures for units with tracking
  • Develop dashboard to observe all AODA requirements now/ phased future and ensure awareness with adequate lead time to all stakeholders
  • Monitor/track all refrigerant Loss and recovery for company
  • Produce, and update as required, all vendor shop build-out Letters of Agreement for all small capital vendor projects and pop-ups – between 50-60 per year
  • Manage and track completion of Letters of Agreement between Holt Renfrew and Vendors
  • Develop and support the CMMS platform, Service Channel for Facilities and Network Projects
  • Assist in the preparation and development of sustainability business cases with the strategy team

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in Environment studies or related field
  • 5yrs in position or equivalent function with strong business administrative background
  • Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual French/English considered and asset
  • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Able to work effectively with deadlines changing conditions and priorities with continual progress towards desired results
