Description

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for the attraction and recruitment of high potential and top talent that will enable the achievement of company goals and objectives.  As a brand ambassador, this role provides a professional, welcoming, and informative candidate experience that reflects the Holt Renfrew culture, brand spirit, and values.

Partnering closely with business leaders, the Recruitment Specialist identifies talent needs and develops effective recruitment strategies that attracts diverse internal and external candidate pipelines.  

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Drive effective internal and external recruitment practices for active vacancies and pipeline development, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience
  • Responsible for 360 (full cycle) recruitment activities including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, assessment, background checks, and job offer
  • Develop and execute a variety of sourcing strategies that deliver top-tier and diverse talent for current and future hiring needs
  • Integrate core values and Diversity and Inclusion into all aspects of the hiring process
  • Support with the management of vendors including recruitment agencies, software providers, and other suppliers
  • Partner with business leaders to identify talent requirements, providing consultation and advice through the full recruitment process
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, developing new techniques to create brand awareness and attract new sources of talent
  • Track and maintain internal and external recruitment scorecard and measures of success
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with all functions of the people team to promote “one team” approach
  • Support the integration of digital solutions to simplify processes, streamline work and elevate the candidate experience

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field
  • 5-7 years of post-university work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of labour market and industry trends, solid knowledge of retail, field experience an asset
  • Experience hiring all level roles from entry to senior level professionals
  • Knowledge of and ability to champion talent acquisition best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and fluctuating work volumes
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
  • Effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change 
  • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ATS
