With close supervision & support, provides a full suite of project control services to transmission line and substation capital project teams in a matrixed environment. Creates, maintains, monitors and analyzes 75+ cost and resource loaded capital project schedules using Primavera Project Management software. Develops risk mitigation action plans to correct negative trends in cost and schedule. Communicates performance to management and project team. Assembles project budgets & develops on-going forecasts. Performs cost variance analysis & reporting. Supports GTC Capital Program management function, in particular, the development of GTC's annual Capital Program budget. Prepares project close-out documents and provides analysis of results of each project.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Experience: No years of project control-related or financial analysis experience at this level.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Willing to pursue registration as a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Must be able to quickly gain proficiency in Primavera Project Management software. Experience with Primavera or MS Project is preferred. Must have strong interpersonal & communication skills. Must be proficient with the MS Office Professional Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with relational databases (SQL/Access) is also preferred.
