Directs the overall financial and administrative practices of the organization. Oversees accounting, tax, treasury, procurement, contracts, general counsel, project reporting, rates, budgeting and corporate process improvement. Also, oversees related activities of the organization provided through contractual arrangements such as information technology, support services and insurance. Serves as chairman of the Risk Oversight committee and corporate representative on 401K investment advisory counsel. Provides support to the President/CEO, to the Board of Directors and various outside organizations including development and maintenance of policies to enhance the overall stability of the organization.
Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field, prefer Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Experience: Fifteen (15) years' experience in finance, accounting or business related field. Must also have at least ten (10) years progressive experience in management including executive managerial experience. Prior experience in electric utility preferred.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: CPA preferred
Specialized Skills: Must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation, analytical, reasoning, and negotiation skills. Must also have Word Processing and Spreadsheet Analysis Software skills. Ideally will possess strong business process knowledge.
Provides work direction to (5) Five Department Managers, (2) Professional Staff and approximately 50 Professional and Administrative Staff
Provides executive management oversight and direction regarding strategy of operations, priority of work initiatives, and proper allocation of resources. Also provide guidance and evaluation of performance and professional development of middle management.
This position requires broad latitude and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships (internal and external) with a wide range of personalities including corporate executives, technical/engineering associates, field associates and internal and external leaders.
