Engineer-III, Test Engineer: Leads distribution substation activities in the commissioning and maintenance of protective relay and control equipment in the corporation's substation facilities. Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Experience using a personal computer. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Engineer-IV, Test Engineer: Leads transmission substation activities in the commissioning and maintenance of protective relay and control equipment in the corporation's substation facilities. Leads an assigned area of responsibility requiring no oversight for distribution substation protective systems and can perform some transmission level work with minimum oversight. Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Working knowledge of using a laptop PC and relay test equipment to calibrate protective relays and metering panels. Must have the ability to read substation protection and control prints and equipment schematics. Must be proficient with ITS high voltage switching rules and procedures, and perform switching. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Completion of FE preferred. Must be able to pass all requirements for GTC to work on and around cyber assets. Must maintain proper driver licenses to operate assigned vehicle. | |
