Supervises the Area Coordinators and directs the substation maintenance program for GTC. Provides leadership and work direction to the Area Coordinators for GTC substation maintenance department and provides support from the office for day-to-day activities. Conducts performance reviews and develops individual goals for Area Coordinators and assists them in meeting those goals. Makes recommendations for compensation adjustments for Area Coordinators. Develops annual department budget and completes monthly margin projections. Promotes an environment of continuous improvement to meet corporate goals and objectives.
Education: BS in Engineering or other technical field
Experience: Eight years electric utility experience (maintenance experience preferred) with a history of strong leadership skills and an increase in responsibility.
Equivalent Experience: Associates Degree in a technical field and ten years electric utility experience with a history of strong leadership skills and an increase in responsibility.
Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Also, must have strong computer skills and should be proficient in learning new systems (Maximo Experience preferred). The ability to develop relationships and manage multiple tasks and assignments is critical to the success of this position.
Must be able to pass a NERC CIP personnel risk assessment screening.
