Position: Senior Web Developer   

Location: Fairfax, VA or Warrenton, VA      

Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance eligible.   

Education: master’s degree in computer science, Web Development, Graphic Design, or related discipline. Or equivalent work experience, that equates to a master’s degree.    

Outcomes:   

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes in the first year on the position:    

  • Develop mission critical applications supporting the acquisition and oversight of Intelligence capabilities in the Department of Defense.  
  • Provide expertise using programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript and React, jQuery, Angular and react.  
  • Drive projects through the development lifecycle of requirements, design, development, and testing.    

Responsibilities:   

We are seeking a full-time Website Developer to join the Team to develop mission critical applications and websites supporting the acquisition and oversight of Intelligence capabilities in the Department of Defense. As a member of our design and web development team, the Developer will work closely with program analysts, IT systems integrators, engineers, and data scientists to build and sustain high fidelity applications and websites.The Developer will drive projects through the development lifecycle of requirements, design, development, and testing.  Responsibilities include creating mock-ups and creating the web application using HTML / JavaScript / CSS and front-end frameworks that adhere to design principles overall consistency.    

  • Working with clients and team members to develop requirements and business goals, develop the overall look and design of the website.  
  • Create designs that can quickly and efficiently be developed into standards-compliant websites.  
  • Writing website code with programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, and React.JS, Node.JS.  
  • Producing, maintaining, and modifying user interfaces.  
  • Incorporating applications, graphics, audio, and video clips into websites.  
  • Creating tools that enhance the user’s experience.  
  • Ensuring websites are accessible across unclassified and classified platforms.  
  • Routinely testing websites for ease-of-use speed, and other quality factors.  
  • Fixing any issues or bugs that arise.  
  • Have a strong background in website design, including analyzing data and pulling data points.  
  • Code and perform unit testing for the routines and procedures that have been produced as part of your coding work.  
  • Integrate your work into a code repository for successful deployment of the solutions being implemented.  
  • Maintain existing applications by writing code to improve performance, fix bugs or implement new functionalities.  

Qualifications:   

The candidate must have the following qualifications:   

  • 10 years of relevant web developing experience supporting Department of Defense Contracts.     
  • 3+ years’ experience developing intuitive web applications.  
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript and React, JQuery, Angular and react.  
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, IN Vision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.  
  • Proficient in visual design and wireframing tools.  
  • Travel: Occasional local travel required.
