Position:         IT Systems Administrator

Location:        Fairfax, VA

Clearance:      Top Secret/SCI

Education:      Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities:

The Systems Administrator shall provide IT systems administration in support of the overall work being performed under this task order. The below tasks are required to maintain the systems performed under this task order. The below tasks are required to maintain the systems that support the classified system environments needed for the work under this task order. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Perform computer/network hardware troubleshooting; and, when appropriate and economically feasible, perform computer/network hardware repairs.

·         Provide expertise in support of Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and ISSO roles for classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software applications.

·         Assist the Government IT Office by providing engineering, technical, and management consultant support for CDM requirements.

·         Provide assistance in account management services.

·         Support classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software along with stand-alone systems, laptops, and various peripheral devices with analysis, design, and engineering support for expanding and/or upgrading capabilities/equipment.

·         Support classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software along with stand-alone systems, laptops, and various peripheral devices with analysis, design, and engineering support for expanding and/or upgrading capabilities/equipment.

·         Provide support for IT software (all software will be Government provided):

o   Install and maintain software upgrades/modifications.

o   Install/test/maintain new software procedures by IT systems.

o   Conduct tests of all new releases and modifications and complete/update all documentation affected by required changes.

·         Ensure upgrades/modifications of IT software are stable and backup is maintained.

·         Provide technical support for IT systems:

o    Control and manage IT connections in accordance with Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and other Government guidelines.

o    Coordinate the resolution of problems.

o    Control, manage, and troubleshoot IT systems and conduct logical operating system fault monitoring.

·         Backup/restore IT systems and perform reconfiguration and diagnostics/remedial action and ensure end-to-end physical connectivity.

·         Provide management of current physical configurations of IT systems and maintain IT systems operations.

·         Monitor applications/system software and hardware operations.

·         Conduct routine high-priority systems problem identification and high-priority corrective actions.

·         Provide telecommunications support required to provide interface between internal and external IT systems.

·         Interface with the Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), Defense Messaging System, and other networks, as required. Provide telecommunications support in accordance with all applicable Government security guidelines.

·         Execute the CDM Configuration Management (CM) program:

o    Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of CDM IT systems and changes. (RR #34)

o    Evaluate/identify CM programs/items.

o    Maintain status accounting records and reports.

o    Participate in system configuration development and maintenance review

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

·         Minimum of five (5) years’ experience evaluating system security and information assurance requirements and developing system security and IA documentation.

·         Administrative knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows server/desktop environments as well as an understanding of the Interface with the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, Defense Messaging System, and other networks.

·         Familiarity with NIST 800-53

·         Excellent MS Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) skills

·         Strong organization and writing skills a must.

·         Personnel shall be IAT Level II certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.

The following qualifications are desired:

·         Experience within a military component of the DoD

·         Must be analytical, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Travel:  Occasional local travel required.
