Position:               Strategic Planner/ Special Operations  

Location:              MacDill AFB, FL 

Clearance:           TS/SCI 

Education:           Master’s degree. Graduate of the Special Operations Planning Course (SOPC) 

Responsibilities:

 

The Strategy, Plans, Exercises, and Policy/ Special Operations Planner will provide the technical expertise, experience and training in all Special Operations Forces core missions to include advising the USCENTCOM Commander on the employment and utilization of special operations forces, utilization of cognitive problem solving skills to overcome difficult operational challenges at the operational/strategic level, analysis of the planning and execution of other DoD, interagency and multinational special operations activities within the USCENTCOM AOR to ensure synchronization. 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

·         provide and apply expertise for assisting in planning, preparation and execution of plans coordination, and synchronizing efforts supporting the full spectrum of special operations in joint, multinational, and interagency. 

·         Provide and apply Special Operations expertise for assisting in developing standardized plans, orders and CONOPs and coordinating Special Operations support to the USCENTCOM vision, mission and Commander’s priorities 

·         Provide Special Operations expertise to current operations and support to other special activities requirements 

·          

 

Qualifications: 

 

The candidate must have the following qualifications: 

·         Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a Special Operations Community. 

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience at a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters. 

Travel: Travel required to AOR.
