Position: Engagements Support Specialist 

Location: Crystal City, Virginia 

Clearance: Secret 

Education: Bachelor’s degree  

Outcomes: 

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes the first year in the position: 

  • Routinely and rapidly support the transformational force design element of the Space Force through coordination of engagements and CSO-directed special initiatives. 

  • Perform accurate, high quality, and timely work which leads to positive CPAR rating. 

Responsibilities: 

The Headquarters United States Space Force (HQ USSF) and the Director of Staff (HQSF/DS) require assistance in organizational planning, implementation, maturation, and strengthening of the HQ Space Force. To further the process of developing HQ USSF, a multi-faceted planning, integration, and management support team continues to implement a multi-phased, (multi-year), plan to transition HQ USSF from an initial operating capacity to full operational capacity. The Strategic Initiatives Lead will support these efforts by performing the following functions: 

  • Develop strategic engagement plans that provide the CSO opportunities to inform and develop relationship with stakeholders, and assist SIG leadership as necessary. 

  • Assist strategic initiatives group leadership with executing and documenting evolving daily business processes  

  • Develop strategic engagement plans to inform and develop stakeholder relationships 

  • Evaluate the impact of strategic engagements and businesses processes through the establishment and evaluation of metrics. 

Qualifications: The candidate must have the following qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in an associated technical or line of business discipline  

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an Operations, Engineering, Scientific, Analysis, Policy or Planning field related to Security Specialist 

  • Develop or apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information 

  • Specializes in fields such as biostatistics, agricultural statistics, business statistics, or economic statistics. Includes mathematical and survey statisticians. 

  • Secret Level Clearance
