Location:        Tampa, FL

Clearance:      Secret

Education:     Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities:

The Proposal Writer supports the Business Development team and reports directly to the ASD Director. The Business Development Associate is responsible for the successful execution of activities in support of Gemini strategic objectives to include expanding the business base of Gemini’s three Divisions. They will be supporting and executing efforts to identify, plan, capture, and win new contracts and to enhance the competitive edge and marketing/branding of Gemini.

  • Contribute to the development of business development strategies and plans.
  • Identify current contracts or emerging opportunities through which agencies acquire (or plan to acquire) services the company can provide and perform capture activities.
  • Recommend new business areas, customers, or initiatives to expand the portfolio of company products/services.
  • Supports the preparation and submission of competitive proposals, including identifying win themes, interviewing technical and programmatic staff, obtaining information to develop technical and managerial solutions, and drafting proposal sections as assigned. 
  • Develop strategies to differentiate our offerings from others, and value propositions.
  • Monitor opportunity data bases and announcement web sites (e.g., beta.SAM.gov, GovWin IQ)
  • Match the company’s core strengths/areas of expertise with government agency requirements.
  • Support other business development functions as needed.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development organizations targeting the DoD marketplace.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and write compelling, customer-focused proposal narrative and oral presentation slides.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office business applications such as Adobe Acrobat Suite, and SharePoint.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.

Travel: Occasional travel is required to our Gemini facility in Burlington, MA.
