Position:        Senior Cyber Systems Engineer

Location:       Fort Washington, MD

Clearance:     TS/SCI

Education:     MS Degree


The Senior Cyber Systems Engineer will support the Secretary of the Air Force - Concepts, Development, and Management Office (SAF/CDM).  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in support of Offensive Cyber Operations and related capability development programs.
  • Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems.
  • Prepare functional specifications from which programs can be written, and then design, code, tests, debug, and document programs.
  • Participate in the technical design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of systems.
  • Supervise system tests, monitor test results, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.


The candidate must have the following qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience.
  • 5+ years systems development using combinations of listed technologies and processes.
  • Background in defensive or offensive cyber operations or related cyber security experience.
  • Experience with modern programming languages, technologies pertinent to implementation to DEVSECOPS pipelines.
  • Directly related experience in software engineering, agile best practices, networking, web development, software testing, systems administration, and database administration.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Works well on a team spanning government and vendor stakeholders.

Travel:  Minimal travel required
