Position:         Acquisition Project Manager

Location:        Ballston, VA

Clearance:      Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Background Check

Education:     Master’s Degree

Responsibilities:

The Acquisition Project Manager provides direct acquisition and procurement support to assist in developing and executing acquisition strategies and developing acquisition documents. The Acquisition Project Manager provides subject matter expertise to support quality acquisitions that lead to improved resource utilization, smooth transitions, and successful post award solutions.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide acquisition strategy and development support:
    • Conduct acquisition and procurement forecasting and planning activities.
    • Conduct acquisition policy research and organizational planning.
    • Develop innovative contract approaches.
  • Conduct Market Research:
    • Draft RFI content and perform RFI analysis.
    • Conduct other forms of research to include commercial and marketplace offerings, pricing and segmentation analysis, and supply chain.
  • Provide cradle-to-grave pre-award support.
  • Provide input to Government Cost Estimates to include researching historical data, pricing, and developing cost strategies.
  • Draft procurement documentation such as Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Procurement Requests (PR), and required justifications, determinations, and findings.
  • Perform technical writing, editing, and quality assurance support.
  • Draft and track schedules for procurement in the pre-award phase.

 

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing pre-award packages, developing proposals, or managing contract execution.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting market research, segmentation, or market intelligence analysis.

 

Travel:  Some travel may be required
