Description

Location:        Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

Clearance:      Able to obtain a Tier 1 Clearance to obtain a CAC

Education:     Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture

Outcomes:

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes in the first year on the position:

·         Formally track all tasks, to include: assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.

·         Develop digital transition files on procedures to include workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.

·         Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.

·         Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.

Responsibilities:

The Facilities Project Engineer shall provide non-personal engineering support for Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (FSRM) and Military Construction (MILCON), Project Planning & Program Development, Engineering/Requirement Definition and the Planning & Execution of In-House Facilities Projects, to include construction oversight. The contractor will provide Assistance Services (AS) to 21 Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) in the execution of this program.   Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·      Provide assistance and technical support in the identification, development, and preparation of FSRM, Non Appropriated Funds (NAF) and customer-funded programs.

·      Work with customers to define project requirements, prepare cost estimates, and draft statements of work and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission. 

·      The contractor will be expected to prepare 2-4 project acquisition packages per month.  Coordinate with other governmental personnel, as necessary, to define project requirements, ensure compliance with Federal, State, local and Air/Space Force regulations.

·      Additionally, personnel shall have experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications and at least some familiarity with AutoCAD.

·      Provide construction oversight as necessary to ensure compliance with Statement of Work, design drawings and applicable code requirements, and provide feedback to the government. 

·      Work with contractor and customer to identify any issues on site during construction and assist 21 CES-Peterson with recommendations for resolution. 

·      Review contractor on-site progress and provide 21 CES-Peterson with recommendations/inputs on a weekly basis regarding project completion % and how well contractor is adhering to their approved schedule.

·         Fill in for the Task Order Project Manager (TOPM) when required.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture.

·         At least 5 years’ experience as a facility design engineer or construction project manager;

·         Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, a comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques to support complex engineering assignments. 

·         Additionally, personnel shall have experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications and at least some familiarity with AutoCAD.

The following qualifications are desired:

·         Engineering project experience.

·         Experience writing project documentation, to include, but not limited to, Statements of Work.
